Ondřej Soukup appointed principal conductor of EUMS Sinfonia

Conductor Ondřej Soukup was appointed the next principal conductor of Edinburgh University Music Society (EUMS) Sinfonia effective September 2018. Sinfonia is a full-sized symphony orchestra and has recently performed at the Usher Hall in a concert celebrating 150^thanniversary of EUMS. Its repertoire has in recent years included Prokofiev’s Seventh Symphony, Copland’s Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo, and Gershwin’s An American in Paris. Ondřejwill open his tenure with Sinfonia with a performance of Dvořák’s Stabat Mater alongside EUMS Chorus in St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh.
