Ondřej Soukup takes EUMS on tour to his homeland

As part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Edinburgh University Music Society (EUMS), the society organised a tour to Prague, Czech Republic. The orchestra directed by Ondřej Soukup, and the chorus directed by Neil Metcalfe performed two concerts, both of which attracted a large audience. Especially the second concert was so well attended, there were many audience members standing! The orchestra under Ondřej’s direction performed Halvorsen’s Entry March of the Boyars, Sibelius’ Finlandia, Liszt’s Les Préludes, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol, and was joined by the chorus for Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance No. 1 to finish the concert alla Last night of BBC Proms.
