Ondřej Soukup was admitted to study for a Master of Music degree in Conducting at the Royal College of Music, starting in September 2020. According to QS World University Rankings, RCM has been the Top performing arts institution in the UK for the last five years (2016-2020) and Top 2-3 in the world. On top of that, RCM has a strong record of influential graduates such as conductors Colin Davis, Neville Marriner, Roger Norrington, and composers Benjamin Britten, Gustav Holst and Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Delighted to accept the offer, Ondřej will study with Head of Conducting Toby Purser, conducting professors Peter Stark, and Howard Williams and Visiting Professor of Conducting Martyn Brabbins during the two-year course. On top of that, he will have the chance to work with world-class visiting artists like Antonio Pappano, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vladimir Jurowski and others.

Ondřej Soukup is an exciting young conductor and winner of the third prize & special prize at the Ionel Perlea International Competition (2024). His repertoire counts 350+ works by men and women. He has conducted the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Czech Chamber Philharmonic, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, Moldovan National Philharmonic, the Copenhagen Phil, the Danish Sinfonietta, and Symphony Orchestras of Ålborg, Århus, Helsingborg, Odense, and Sønderborg, among others.
