This year’s festival was opened by the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic conducted by Ondřej Soukup. Hosted in Polička, the composer’s birthplace, the concert was the fifth concert Ondřej and FBM gave this week.
The programme, which differed from the previous four concerts that week, included Weber’s Oberon overture, Martinů’s Cello Concerto No. 1 (1955) and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
